Merging All of Me into One

I some times like to keep my life in various compartments: music life, hockey life, good time activist life, writing life, work life, travel life, etc.

Today, I’m done with the departments.

In all honesty, it’s too much.

I feel that sometimes I don’t want to offend the various parts of life and people in it with the other various parts of my life with those people in it.

For example, I love hockey. If you know me, you know this. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook and are asking yourself, really, huh? Then you are truly living under a rock. I created an entire “Hockey” persona to talk just about hockey. Why? Because I was afraid that my Twitter and Facebook followers who follow me might think it’s too much. Why? Because I had a moment of stupidity and let someone else’s thought of me run my life. #FAIL. I am letting the Hockey Maven in me out and she’s going to have a hell of time being real because she is real because she’s a part of me. AND BEFORE YOU ROLL YOUR EYES and mumble, well, this is just one example, it’s not. I have more damn Twitter accounts and personas than I really have time to manage. The only ones I will keep are my current pen names.

I even have blogs I write for that I hid from the world because I was almost afraid to be vulnerable and I say almost, because I did put these out on the internet. I write Letters to Lek when I really need to talk to my mom and Letters to My Nieces when I need to share something with them that I might not be able to later on in life. Well, I’m no longer hiding them.

I’m merging all the parts of me into becoming a whole me. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to be a part of it.
