wanting

By Shelia Taylor on February 14, 2018

wanting and not having
pounding chest and sweaty palms
craving desire
tearing at my soul
each breath begging for more
delicious and pleasing
gratification of carnality
take and give
pleasure in pain
pain in pleasure
no love, just wanting

I respect and acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of the land where I live. I pay my respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Through learning about the First Peoples and Traditional Custodian songlines, I found my own.
