Exist Loudly

Moving Out and Growing Up

It’s time to move out and to continuing growing up.

Literally and figuratively.

This is my last Saturday in my very first apartment here in Sydney.

I’ve lived in an Art Deco building built in the 1930s for 4 years now. The apartment has been nothing but good to me. Giving me the sanctuary I needed from the world outside when needed, entertaining me with neighbors who like to sit on their balcony and have sing alongs on Friday nights, and so much more.

But it’s time.

Time to upgrade from a studio into something bigger with a real oven and another room.

It’s time to say goodbye to this chapter of my life.

It’s time to start a new chapter in a new place that I feel is perfect for me and my continuing journey.

When I spotted this little house, I knew in my gut, this is it.
Once I stepped in to inspect it, my insides screamed, this is it.
It ticked all the boxes. Mainly a kitchen with a proper oven and another room that wasn’t just the bathroom.

But there was something more, the energy and vibrations. I could feel the walls teeming with creativity, light, love and magic. I could feel the energy within the little house say, yes, this is for you. You are welcomed here. This is your home now.

The house is a freestanding house nestled right off the street. I can see the quiet sanctuary it will become. I can envision the dreams that will become real life there.

In the middle of Corvid-19 madness, I am so ready for this chapter.

Ready for my new normal.

Ready to say goodbye to an older version of me and hello to a newer me and the next chapter of my life.
