Poetry

on this evening

By Shelia Taylor on April 29, 2021

setting sun
bats fly low
as the stars twinkle to and fro

shades of purple
melancholy of pink
push me to the brink

a moment of peace
on a frangipani breeze
sets my soul at ease

🖤💛❤️

I respect and acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of the land where I live. I pay my respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Through learning about the First Peoples and Traditional Custodian songlines, I found my own.
