So let’s chat about Lost Paradise…I’ve had a few days to reflect about my experience…and well, it was that, an experience. Location: the beautiful Glenworth Valley. I will be returning when the festival is long gone and the earth has recovered from its footprint. The theme of the festival is “back to nature” or as their hashtag is #back2nature. I stumbled upon this festival through Sylvan Esso who played in 2014. I figured it was the Universe saying to me, […]
If you haven’t watched “FIN” from SAINT HUGHS, go watch it now. Nick and Drew aka SAINT HUGHS follow up the visual video for “FIN” with their installment of “ADRIATIC” from their “LOVE AND LUST” EP (available now). If you’re expecting smokey inks in water, you’re not getting it in this video. What you will be getting is a lot of beautiful water landscapes and serene moments. It fits the song beautifully. “I stand by the roadside with my heart on the outside. I’m so desperate that […]
If you follow me on Twitter or here, you know I adore SAINT HUGHS. Yes, kinda biased since I like their other project as well…but that’s neither here nor there. You might be asking, who is Stokeswood? The honest answer is this: Stokeswood is from Atlanta, GA and is part alternative rock and part electro-pop. The crazy kids that make up Stokeswood are Adam Patterson (vocals), Mark Godwin (lead guitar), Michael Roman (keys), Jon Joiner (drums), and Justin Mullinix (bass and live production).
I stumbled onto THE MIDNIGHT HOLLOW on Soundcloud back in December 2014 with their track “FORWARD” and I fell for this band hook, line, and sinker. I immediately bought “FORWARD” and everything they had available on iTunes. Seriously, I cannot stop listening to them. It’s like a drug. As I listened, I would find something new and intriguing about their music. I was pretty stoked when they announced they would be releasing a follow up to their 2014 EP, SELF-TITLED this […]
