So many definitions, so many variations. Which one is right? Which one is wrong? I personally like the last part of the Urban Dictionary definition of morals:
Moral code is not the same to everyone. What is right for me, might be wrong for you and vice versa.
If we can just be true to ourselves and be ourselves, we should be able to be do what’s right for us vs what’s wrong for us.
We need to stop judging others. We don’t know what they are going through, have been through, etc. We don’t know the entire story or background of their decisions to do things, but we will instantly throw judgement at them.
Maybe if stopped with the judgement, we would see they are being true to themselves and are being their self like the quote says.
My moral code for me has become this:
Dare to be my true self and let others be theirs.
I will acknowledge myself/others and I will not judge myself/others for their thoughts, feelings, actions, etc. No more judgement or shaming.
