An empty sadness filled the train station
Maybe the gray clouds filled their souls
With a heavy rain of emotions
Soulless bodies passed by
Ghosts on the transit
Were they returning to their graves
Or leaving them one final time
One by one
Head down
In sadness?
In shame?
Staring at screens, looking for life
Receiving only static and dead air
Unfulfilling lives
Momentary lapse of reasoning
Stepping on to trains that take them nowhere
Nowhere they want to be
Ghosts on the train
