in front of a large crowd
i tremble in fear
in front of a large crowd
i stumble upon my words
in front of a large crowd
i am frightened by the eyes watching me
in front of a large crowd
i am scared my voice will not be heard
in front of a large crowd
my ass is handed to me by a young man
in front of a large crowd
i am demolished by his strength
in front of a large crowd
i am admonished by his questions
in front of a large crowd
i am revealed a coward by his peers
in front of a large crowd
i see the future that i cannot escape
in front of a large crowd
i see the future change and it does not include me
Inspired by Cameron Kasky’s Town Hall questioning of Marco Rubio. I wrote this from Rubio’s perspective of him realizing the moment he got his ass kicked by a passionate high school student evoking his 1st admendment right to free speech. Rubio’s inability to answer simply yes or no chapped my ass and his constant “buying into my agenda” made me want to reach through my screen and choke the life out of him. I can’t wait to see Cameron run for office and take Rubio’s job.
