‪eyes that sparkled like stars‬
a fire within that kept
him warm in the darkness
‪with ‬a mind of anxiety
a sadness that broke his heart
never was I meant to discover
the hidden treasures within his soul
as they weren’t meant to be shared
with me and perhaps with no one
my heart dare not give up hope
on such an amazing soul
though everything in my mind
said just let him go
