5 days late but I had a great excuse that I won’t get into on this post.
Shady Love by Scissor Sisters
I love me some Scissor Sisters and the chorus to this song is infectious and fun! In fact, their whole new CD is ah-may-zing. Favorite lyric: “Why so tough. You see me running, but you can’t keep up. So let me slow down for you.”
Sweet Virginia by Donavon Frankenreiter
Simply this song reminds me I just have to wipe the shit of life off my shoe and keep on walking. There is even a line in the song that says the same thing.
New Mexico by The Cinematics
I have had the great pleasure of seeing this band perform acoustic and plugged in and they are fantastic. I just love the lyric: “Are we staring at the same stars tonight?” Just a reminder we are not really alone in this world.
Ultra Violet (Light My Way) by The Killers (U2 Cover)
This is from U2’s (Ǎhk-to͝ong Bāy-Bi) Covered release. I love the original by U2 and The Killers do the song justice.
The Life You Choose by The Constellations
If you follow this blog or me on Twitter, you know I am a huge of supporter of this band. The song title says it all…the life you choose. You choose the life you live. You control your destiny. Take a step forward, take a step back. Choose the road less travelled or stand by and let life pass you by. It’s your call. My life…I choose to live it to the fullest.
Sin for Me by Saint Hughs
This band is composed of Nick O’Donnell and Drew Fellows of the band 26 (love this band). When I first heard this song, I just thought magical. My second thought was it was a great running song. I’m really looking forward to hearing more from Saint Hughs and soon there will be a new 26 album!!! Yes, I am excited. Listen to “Sin for Me” below.

Comfortable in My Skin by Xavier Rudd
I had the distinct experience of driving six listeners to Miami in an RV. They had one tank of gas and their IDs. They worked, begged, and relied on the kindness of strangers to get from Charlotte to Miami. Xavier’s album Spirit Bird kept me sane during the 8 day trip. This song was a constant reminder to me, that I was comfortable with me and happy with me. The six listeners not so much.
