Dancing with the Big Boys

They say it’s a man’s world
But it’s a world full of boys
Rude boys
Kind boys
Dumb boys
Smart boys
Straight boys
Gay boys
Genderless boys
Hater boys
Lover boys
Boys will be boys
Toxic with masculinity
Immune to the hatred they spread

“Dancing with the Big Boys” is from the album TONIGHT. The first two lines are the only lines that survived my initial thought when writing this poem. Once I sat down to write, it took on its own persona.
