The video above is in Thai, my mom’s native tongue.
This may be a commercial for some corporation, but in honesty, it is how the Thai people live.
They give.
They are kind.
It’s funny how things show up in your life, a gentle reminder from the stars that your beloved ones who watch over you in their death.
The village that’s in the video is just like my mom’s. I have seen the Thai peoples generosity to humans, to animals, to each other. I have sat where the adult female has sat and looked at medical expenses that I could not pay for my dying mom, and I have experienced so much giving from people in her death.
I have been told that I give too much. I give too much time, energy, thoughts, money to family and friends but it is in my nature and in my blood. I will sacrifice my own needs for the needs and livelihood of those I care about.
I will not apologize for it and I will never stop giving.
This video is a reminder to me that I may not say I love you to everyone who means the world to me, but I can give and hope that they give in return to someone else.
