I didn’t know anything about Real Estate when I started listening to their new album Atlas (released March 03, 2014 on Domino Records) but the name of the band and the name of album intrigued me and I hoped that it would at least be a record that was up my alley.

And I was relieved that it was.

Atlas is light and airy with hints of melancholy. A perfect soundtrack to a spring summer day as you lounge in a hammock with your favorite book and bottle of wine.

The track “Past Lives” is my favorite off the album.

I highly recommend this album to those that are looking for something that is not in your face and loud.
