Songs of My Life: June 2018

Like May, June had no set theme, reoccurring message, or vibration. As I’ve said before, often when that happens, it means all is right in the Universe for me. And June was amazing, empowering, and inspiring. During the month I was shown time and time again why I am so blessed, fortunate and grateful.

“Last Mango in Paris” by Jimmy Buffett
I don’t remember why I dragged this song into the play list. It is one of my favorite Buffett songs and I think more than anything it was just a reminder that adventure is always waiting and that we must always take it.

“Life” by Our Lady Peace
This song has inspired me before in my Life is Waiting for You post and it continues to do so. Over the past month, I’ve had friends share their suicide attempts and hurt, confess their suicide attempts and say because of you I reached out. These lyrics in this song remind me every day, “Life is waiting for you, it’s all messed up, but we’re alive. Oh, Life is waiting for you, it’s all messed up, but we’ll survive.” If you are reading this, you are not alone. Please reach out to me and if not me, someone.

“Soul of Fire” by HIM
I can’t tell you why I woke up singing this song 80% of the month but it was these lyrics, “We are like the living dead. Sacrificing all we have, for a frozen heart and a soul on fire…”

“Pass at Me” by Timbaland featuring Pitbull
If you know me, you know I love me some Pitbull. This come on shuffle one Saturday and it just puts ya in a good mood.

“Three Strikes” by Afrojack featuring Jack McManus
Same as above, random iTunes shuffle play but makes you want to take on the world.

“Messages” by Xavier Rudd
As someone who tries to pay attention to the messages from the Universe and beyond, this song just reminds me to do so and sometimes I may not understand it but they are there for me for a reason.
