7 Life Lessons I Learned from The X-Files

I am a geek. I don’t care who knows it. I was a huge X-Files nerd when the series was on and I’ve learned that, I still am. After watching all 202 episodes of The X-Files, which is 9 glorious seasons and both movies, here are some life lessons that I’ve learned:

Believe
Mulder believed in aliens and a government conspiracy to cover up the existence of aliens and so on. I’ve learned that we should all just believe there is something out there that is greater than we are. The Universe is so grand that we humans on earth have to be small minded to believe that there is not other intelligent life out amongst space.

New people
People come into your life and people leave. Accept it. Mulder disappeared for almost an entire season & Scully got John Doggett as a partner. He bettered her. That new friend will make you grow.

All girls should aim to be smart like Scully
I think she’s an ideal role model. Not only could she shoot, fight, and throw a mean hook, but she didn’t get by on her looks. She got by on her brains. She used her smarts to get through life. Those are the people who better the world.

Trust no one isn’t always the way to live
Sometimes it’s just nice to believe that not everyone is out to stick the back of your neck with a alien stiletto. There is always one person who will stand by you with no intentions of anything other than honesty. When you find that one person, never let them go.

Truth will prevail
Tell the truth. You don’t have to worry about covering up a web of lies if you do.

The dead never leave our side and are with us and will guide us when we need it the most.

Never stop fighting.
