CATCHING UP

Riley & Taylor,
It’s been almost a year since I wrote last. There’s a thousand and one excuses but none are fitting and they are nothing but excuses.
So why a letter today? It’s Taylor’s birthday. Saturday will be Riley’s birthday. Sunday will be Mother’s Day.
So since June of 2009, our lives have changed a lot. I moved into an apartment all by myself. You guys moved in with Maw Maw & Paw Paw and then sadly, we lost Maw Maw in December of 2009.
Taylor, you are too young to know she’s even gone.
Riley, you were there and got to say goodbye. You were so strong and amazing. I know it hurt you a lot by having to say goodbye to Maw Maw. She was your partner in crime, your go to, your best friend, and grandma. Don’t worry Stinker, she’s watching over you and is still your partner in crime, your best friend, and grandma.
I’m so proud of you both and so happy to have you in my life. You bring a happiness and calmness in my life. I may not be there as much as should and call as often as I should but know that there’s not a minute that goes by that I don’t think of you both. You are my shining stars and I love you both.
Love,
Shelia
