My beautiful friend and sistah from another mister, Adrienne sent me this tweet yesterday and she had no idea how much that one tweet made my day.

I started #LifeLessonsFromJimmyBuffett on Twitter in August because his music means a lot to me and I thought it would be fun to wax poetic with the lyrics of his songs.

Besides, there are a lot of life lessons to be learned from Jimmy!.

I originally was just going to do it for a month, but I rather enjoy scanning his lyrics and listening to his music to find that gem line in a song.

Yesterday, was a sort of crap-tastic day. Parts were crap. Parts were fantastic. This week itself, I have felt that life has just been kicking me in the teeth and instead of fighting, I really just want to retreat and hide in a cave until the shit-storm of life is over flinging poo in my direction

With Adrienne’s single tweet, a confession of joy, she turned my evening around and made today bright and shiney.

I can’t thank her enough for being my saving grace from “the dark.”

She is and will always be my sistah bear. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her and her husband, Nick. She brings so much joy and laughter into the lives she touches and she probably isn’t even aware of it. That makes her even greater.

Thank you, Adrienne, for being in my life, a part of my life, and my sistah bear. I am so honored our paths crossed and joined in friendship and sisterhood. I cherish every memory we have made together and all the laughter we shared, especially those nights at The Gin Mill.
