Making a Difference

Some people have these dreams to be superstars and world famous for something.

I wasn’t put on this earth to become the next sensation. I knew I was put on this earth to make a difference in at least one persons life. I didn’t have to be aware of it, but I knew I would make a difference in one persons life.

It didn’t have to be a million or fifty or five, just one.

I found the Xmas card from my nieces and I remember it bringing me to my knees in tears. Tears of joy and love. It reminded me that I was put on this earth to make a difference in one life, but now it was two. My two nieces. Whatever I do, as long as they can look up to me and be inspired by me, then I don’t care about anyone else’s opinion of me and I don’t care if anyone else loves me as long they do.

I think people try so hard to please others that they forget that the only person that really matters is the one that looks you in the mirror everyday. If you please and respect yourself, then others will respect you and be pleased by you.

Maybe it’s just the cold meds talking, but I know that moving forward with the time I have left in this wonderful Universe that I want to make a difference in my own life. Love myself a little more and respect myself a whole lot more.

When my nieces are my age and sharing stories with their family and friends, I want their inspiration from me to inspire someone else.

My mark on the world would be complete…
