A Birthday Message for Ronnie

L-R: Bruce & Kevin (center) who introduced me to Ronnie

Dear Ronnie,
I am so happy Bruce & Kevin convinced me to come Uptown and I am so happy I crashed your birthday party years ago!

I am writing you this post to share with the world because I cannot be in the same city or state with you on this wonderful day.

Many, many, many years ago, I met a guy on a beach. I wasn’t in a good space in my head and talking to this random stranger has been the best thing that happened to me. His golden retriever was named, Vance. (No, you don’t remind me of a dog silly.) For years, I had a toy I kept in my car so I would always have a traveling companion. I named him, Vance. The name has always reminded me that there is amazingness in the world and that even if I felt alone I wasn’t.

Then you come along into my life, another Vance, but this time you came with a first name. I barely remember crashing your birthday party. I was already well on my way to drunk-ass and I can’t tell you exactly the moment where we decided we would be the best of friends we have become but I can tell you that I am forever grateful that you are in my life. You are one of my closest and trustworthy best friends. We may not get to see each other or hang out with the other like we want, but you know if you called me, I would drop everything for you.

In the end, it might have been your party, but I received the best gift…you as a friend.

Happy Birthday Ronnie, I hope it is blessed and filled with love and magic from the Universe, your family, and your friends. We are blessed to have you in our lives.

You have never been truly dancing on your own, we’ve been with you all along.

Love and miss you bunches!

Listening to Robyn in your honor!
And if Scott, Bruce, Kevin, or Chad read this…get that bitch drunk for me!!!
